Outlook For State Road Fund ‘Unsustainable’ Recently lawmakers heard a sobering assessment about the future of the state’s Road Fund. The state’s Budget Office Director reported that “the road fund is unsustainable.” Director Mike McKown said "the road fund will need some serious looking at over the coming years to keep it sustained."
